MEMPHIS GAME MOVED TO WEDNESDAY: Ole Miss' scheduled game on Tuesday against Memphis at AutoZone Park has been postponed to Wednesday due to the Tigers' hosting a second round NIT men's basketball game that night at The Pyramid. The contest will still have a 7 p.m., start time at AutoZone Park, the home of Pacific Coast League's Memphis Redbirds.

REBELS ADD GAME FOR TUESDAY: With the Memphis game being switched to Wednesday, Ole Miss will host Mississippi Valley State Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m., in a make-up game for the Feb. 27 game versus UT-Martin that was cancelled due to rain.

MAYOR'S TROPHY TICKETS: Tickets for the March 28 Mayor's Trophy game versus Mississippi State can be purchased by calling 1-601-981-1414 or sending a check to: OVERTIME SPORTS, 1200 LAKELAND DRIVE, JACKSON, MS 39216. Ticket prices are $10 for grandstand chairback and $6 for all other seats.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS: Auburn is ranked No. 12 in this week's Baseball Weekly/ESPN Top 25 Coaches poll, No. 13 by Baseball America and No. 15 by Collegiate Baseball ... The Tigers are 16-6, including 13-3 at Plainsman Park, however they have dropped five straight ... Auburn is hitting .283 (206x727) as a team led by freshman OF Javon Moran's .323 (31x96) average ... Junior IF/OF Gabe Gross has hit four of the Tigers' six HRs and leads the team in RBI with 21 ... Tiger pitchers have a team ERA of 2.61 (193.1 IP, 56 ER), and opponents are hitting .229 (163x713) against them with six HRs.

SERIES INFO: Today's meeting is the 122nd all-time between Ole Miss and Auburn ... the Tigers lead the series 61-59-1 ... Ole Miss holds a 7-5 edge in the last 12 meetings dating back to 1997, including 5-3 at Auburn ... with yesterday's win, Ole Miss has now won two straight SEC series from the Tigers ... this weekend's series win is Ole Miss' first at Auburn since 1997 when they 2-of-3 ... the last sweep in the series came in 1988 when Auburn swept the Rebels in Auburn on Mar. 12-13 ... YATES EXTENDS STREAK: Freshman RHP Adam Yates pitched the final 1 2/3 innings of yesterday's 3- 2 win to run his streak of scoreless innings to 29 dating back to a Feb. 14 start against SE Louisiana. Yates has made nine appearances during the streak, including two starts. His two starts count for 13.2 of the 29.0 innings.

MONTRENES LEADS SEC IN STRIKEOUTS, TIED IN WINS: Junior RHP Pete Montrenes struck out seven last night to run his SEC-leading total to 45 in earning his fifth win of the season. The five wins is tied with South Carolina's Gary Bell and Kip Bouknight for the conference lead. Montrenes also enters Saturday leading the SEC in innings pitched with 43.1.

THREE-BAGGERS: Junior Burney Hutchinson and freshman Matt Tolbert enter this weekend tied for the SEC lead in triples with three, along with Tennessee's Chris Burke and Jeff Christensen, and Auburn's Javon Moran. Senior Carl Lafferty has two triples on the year, tied for sixth in the SEC, and Ole Miss second as a team in the SEC in triples with 10. Tennessee is leading the conference in triples with 12.

AFTER 23 GAMES LAST YEAR: Ole Miss was 14-9 after 23 games last season ... The Rebels had a .301 batting average (245x815) with 20 HRs, 138 RBI, 43 doubles and four triples ... Ole Miss had outscored its opponents 150-128 ... The Rebels stole 30-of-39 bases and had hit into 14 double plays ... Ole Miss pitchers had a 4.93 ERA (200.2 IP, 110 ER), allowing 201 hits, including 16 HRs, walked 92 and struck out 150 ... The Rebels had committed 29 errors and turned 14 double plays.

LAST TIME OUT: Freshman Matt Tolbert's two-out, RBI, infield single in the ninth inning to score Matt Mossberg lifted Ole Miss to a 3-2 win over nationally-ranked Auburn Saturday afternoon. Freshman RHP Adam Yates (3-0) pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to earn the win. Junior LHP Mike Gray pitched 7 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks, and struck out four in taking a no decision. Banks Robinson hit a solo HR in the fourth, and Josh Christian added a solo shot in the seventh to give the Rebels a 2-0 lead. The Tigers then scored two runs in the eighth to tie the game.

REBEL DIAMOND NOTES:
* Yesterday's 3-2 win snapped a streak of six consecutive SEC series losses for the Rebels. Prior to this weekend, Ole Miss' last SEC series win was against Auburn last Apr. 7-9 in Oxford.
* Ole Miss is looking for its first three-game SEC series sweep on the road since 1986 when the Rebels swept Kentucky. Ole Miss' last three-game SEC sweep -- home or away -- came in 1999 against Florida in Oxford.
* The Rebels' 17-5-1 start is their best since starting 18-5 in 1995.
* Ole Miss starting pitchers have worked at least six innings in 17 of the Rebels' 23 games this season.
