Ole Miss Tied For Eighth

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Ole Miss men's golf team is tied for eighth place Friday at the 2001Alabama Spring Invitational at the Ol' Colony Golf Complex. The Rebels fired an opening round 305.

College of Charleston has the opening day lead with an opening round 293.

Ole Miss' Tommy Clement, a junior from Mobile, Ala., fired an opening round 74 and is tied for 16th place. Troy Muller and Andrew Medley fired opening day scores of 76 and are tied for 28th place. J.J. Thompson and Phil Caravia are tied for 47th place after shooting opening round scores of 79.

The second round will be played on Saturday, with final round action slated for Sunday.
