Ole Miss Baseball Climbs To No. 16 In National Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss jumped up three spots to No. 16 in this week's Baseball America Top 25, and also moved up a notch to No. 16 in the Baseball Weekly/ESPN Coaches Top 25 poll. The Rebels dropped four spots to No. 20 in the Collegiate Baseball Top 30 after splitting four games last week.

After losing 15-6 to Mississippi State last Wednesday in the Mayor's Trophy game in Jackson, Miss., Ole Miss rebounded to win 2-of-3 from Georgia in a Southeastern Conference series in Oxford.

The Rebels are now 23-8-1 overall and 9-3 in the Southeastern Conference with a one-game lead over LSU for first-place in the Western Division. Ole Miss also has a one-game lead over the Tigers and Tennessee for first place overall in the conference.

Ole Miss will host Memphis Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., before playing its next seven straight on the road. The Rebels will begin the seven-game road trip Friday night in Fayetteville, Ark., when they open a three-game SEC series with Arkansas at 6:30 p.m.
