Women's Tennis Player To Compete In NCAA Singles

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's tennis player Julie DeRoo will begin competing in the NCAA Singles Championships Monday in Stone Mountain, Ga. The team competition concludes Sunday.
DeRoo, ranked No. 32 in the nation, is making her second appearance in the NCAA individual championships. She defeated then second-ranked Sarah Walker (UCLA) in the first round last year before falling in the second round.
The singles field includes 64 of the top players in the country. DeRoo is looking to advance to the round of 16 or finish ranked in the top 20 in singles to earn All-America honors. She is currently 16-12 overall on the year.
