Volleyball Cancels Trip To Minnesota

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss volleyball team has canceled this weekends' scheduled trip to Minneapolis, Minn., after Tuesday's tragic events in New York and Washington D.C. The team was heading there to participate in the Diet Coke Classic.
"In light of the tragic events of Tuesday, we felt that it was in the best interest of the team not to travel far from home," Lady Rebel head coach John Blair said. Even if airports resumed operation, travel would be an absolute nightmare. There are too many unanswered questions for us to go. Right now, our sympathies and prayers go out to all the people whose lives have been affected by these tragedies."
The Lady Rebels next scheduled match is Friday, Sept. 21 against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. That will be the SEC opener for both teams.
