OXFORD, Miss. - Four members of the nationally-ranked Ole Miss women's tennis will compete in the Georgia Invitational this weekend at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Center in Athens, Ga.

Along with Ole Miss, the field includes players from Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Armstrong Atlantic State and Brenau. The draw will feature 48 players in singles and 24 doubles teams.

Leading the Lady Rebel contingent is senior Alesya Ignatieva. She posted a 4-4 record in the fall. Sophomores Karem Harboe, Florencia Basile and Audra Adams will join Ignatieva at the tournament. Basile finished the fall with an 8-4 record and won the Roberta Alison Fall Classic F division title. Harboe went 7-3 and won the B division at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.

This is the 10th ever Georgia Invitational with the first one coming in 1991. It has been held annually since 1994. A SEC player has won the singles title nine times.

The Lady Rebels open the dual match season Jan. 25 at home against SMU.
