Lady Rebel Advances To Quarterfinals At SEC Indoor Championships

ATHENS, Ga. -- The Ole Miss women's tennis team will have a representative in the main draw quarterfinals at the Georgia Invitational and a doubles team in the semifinals, as three members of the Lady Rebels all advanced to play on Sunday.
Sophomore Karem Harboe defeated Sophie Cremers of Alabama 7-6(6), 6-4 in the round of 16 Saturday. She will face the tournament's third seed, Anne Nguyen of Georgia, who had little trouble with Seikta Grant (Ga. Tech) 6-1, 6-0. All quarterfinal matches begin at 9 a.m. Sunday.
In other third round action, senior Alesya Ignatieva lost to Zsofia Golopencza of Armstrong Atlantic State 6-2, 6-3.
Ignatieva teamed up with sophomore Audra Adams to post an 8-5 win over Sarah Suitor and Petra Bercik of Auburn in the quarterfinals of the doubles. The pair will face Agata Cioroch and Alexandra Smith of Georgia in the semifinals Sunday following singles play.
