OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team, after a fifth place finish at the prestigious USTA/ITA National Team Indoor last weekend, is ranked No. 6 in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Rankings released Wednesday.

The Rebels (5-1) opened the National Team Indoor with a 4-0 win over 24th-ranked Indiana State before falling to eventual runner-up Illinois. Ole Miss defeated Notre Dame 4-3 to earn fifth place.

Stanford, winner of the National Team Indoor, earned the top spot followed by Illinois, Georgia, Southern California, UCLA, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Baylor, Pepperdine and Kentucky rounding out the top 10.

The SEC dominated the rankings again, as all 12 schools were ranked among the top 32 with seven in the top 25.

Ole Miss now gets ready to hit the toughest part of the season, conference play. The Rebels, who finished third in the SEC last year, open up at No. 31 Florida on March 1 and then travel to No. 10 Kentucky, No. 30 South Carolina and No. 32 Vanderbilt, before finally returning home on March 13 to host Indiana State.
