Ole Miss Baseball Sets Season Ticket Record

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss has set a school record for baseball season ticket sales, with 1,420 as of Feb. 7 to break last year's record total of 1,075.

Season and individual game tickets for the 2002 season are still being sold at the Ole Miss Ticket Office. Season tickets for all 35 home games can be purchased for $135.00, while reserve grandstand tickets are $75.00.

Fans also have the option of buying tickets for just the Southeastern Conference games. Reserved grandstands or left field picnic area packages for the Rebels' 15 home conference games are being sold for $60.

The ticket office is also offering a family pass for $125.00, which allows general admission seating for two adults and two children for all 35 home games.

Individual game tickets can be bought for $5.00 each.

Ole Miss is scheduled to open its home slate Friday at 3 p.m, against Jacksonville State, which will also be the season-opener. The Rebels' SEC home slate starts Friday, Mar. 22 against LSU. Other SEC teams visiting Oxford this year are Vanderbilt, April 5-7, Auburn, April 12-14, Tennessee, April 26-28, and Arkansas, May 10-12.

Ole Miss enters the 2002 season ranked in all four college baseball polls, including a No. 12 ranking in this week's Collegiate Baseball Top 30. The Rebels are also ranked No. 17 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), No. 18 in Baseball Weekly, and No. 20 in Baseball America.
