Men's Tennis No. 5 In Latest National Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. - ,The Ole Miss men's tennis team moved up four spots to No. 5 in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Rankings released Wednesday, as they get set to face Memphis Thursday.

The Rebels are on a four-match win streak that includes wins over top 25 teams. Ole Miss defeated Auburn and Alabama last weekend to improve to 10-3 overall and 4-2 in the SEC. They currently sit in fourth place in the SEC, which has four teams ranked in the top 10.

The nation's top 10 includes UCLA, Illinois, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Stanford, Notre Dame, Florida, Texas and Texas A&M. Eight teams from the SEC are ranked in the current top 25.

In the individual rankings, junior All-American Alex Hartman moved up to No. 25 after three wins over ranked opponents last week. Senior Kristofer Stahlberg returned to the singles rankings coming in at No. 43. He has defeated five ranked opponents in the last seven matches.

Ole Miss travels up the road Thursday to face 51st-ranked Memphis in a non-conference match at 2:30 p.m.
