OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe missed Thursday afternoon's spring football drills after being admitted to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi earlier in the day for viral gastroenteritis.

"Coach Cutcliffe has a stomach virus and had to be admitted to the hospital to receive intravenous fluids," said Ole Miss head trainer Tim Mullins. "He will spend Thursday night in the hospital and his condition will be reevaluated Friday. We hope he will be able to return to practice Friday or Saturday."

Meanwhile, the Rebels continued spring work which will conclude here Saturday, April 6 with the annual "Grove Bowl" Red-Blue game.

Thursday's practice saw the Rebels concentrate on becoming more physical on both sides of the ball as the team continues to run drills on offense and defense.

"We wanted to get more physical on both sides of the ball and I think we did that," said offensive coordinator and line coach John Latina. "Both sides were trying to hit harder and be much more physical, and that will pay off down the line for both offense and defense.
