OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss football team continued spring football drills on Thursday, with much of the day's focus on the passing game.

"We got a lot of good reps in the passing game today," said Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe. "We had a chance to run through a lot of sets and really focus on our timing and routes."

Thursday's practice also saw the Rebel defense working on adjusting to their new assignments under defensive coordinator Chuck Driesbach, with the defensive backs getting tested by the Ole Miss passing game.

"I saw a lot of good things out there," said Cutcliffe. "We are seeing some people step up on both sides of the ball, which is very encouraging."

The Rebels will take the field again on Friday as they will go through their final scrimmage before the playing of the annual "Grove Bowl" Red-Blue game. The "Grove Bowl" is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
