OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss tight end Bo Hartsfield has undergone surgery to repair a subluxating right shoulder.

Hartsfield, a 6-3, 245 pound sophomore from Birmingham, Ala., hurt the shoulder during recent spring football drills, but still participated in the annual Red-Blue game.

"We had known about the injury all spring and were waiting until after spring practice to do the surgery," said Ole Miss head athletic trainer Tim Mullins. "We expect a full recovery."

Hartsfield participate in 10 of 11 games last season, earning his first letter as he was a back-up tight end to veteran Doug Zeigler. Hartsfield had two pass receptions for 32 yards during the 2001 campaign, including a six-yard touchdown from Eli Manning in the season opener against Murray State. The TD was Manning's then school-record breaking fifth TD pass of the game. Manning later had six TD passes against Arkansas.
