OXFORD, Miss. - Jon Reeder sparked the Ole Miss offense with two stolen bases in the fourth inning and a home run in the seventh inning to back up a solid pitching performance from junior pitcher J.R. Pickens to lead No. 11 Ole Miss (23-7, 6-4 SEC) to a 9-0 victory over Vanderbilt (14-10, 3-5 SEC)

Pickens worked 8.0 innings to earn the win for the Rebels and improve his record to 6-1 on the season. The junior walked two batters and struck out another two, while giving up four hits in the shutout.

Reeder entered the game in the second inning after left fielder Drew Rogers left the game with a hamstring injury. Reeder went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs and scored twice to lead the Rebels at the plate, while stealing three bases on the night. First baseman Bryce Morrison hit a home run in the eighth and was followed by Reeder's home run a batter later to cap the scoring for the Rebels.

Burney Hutchinson tied the all-time record for triples in a career when he knocked a ball deep to left center field in the fifth inning. The triple marked the 14th of his career to place him in a three way tie for first with Kevin Kessinger and Nate Riddley.

Jeff Little suffered the loss for Vanderbilt as he gave up nine runs on 11 hits in 6.2 innings of work. Little fell to 4-3 on the year with the loss. Sean Lullewitz went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Vanderbilt on the night.
