Lady Rebels Take Fifth At LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. - Ole Miss used three top 20 finishes from its golfers to advance in the standings and take a fifth place finish at that LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic over the weekend with a score of 305-306-307-920.
Team captain Bernadette Luse tied for ninth place overall with a three day total of 72-78-75-225 to lead the team to its fifth top 5 finish of the year. Elizabeth Hoffman helped pace the team as she carded a 76-74-77-227 to take 11th place. Teesha Ash also finished in the top 20 as she fired a 79-74-76-229 to tie for 14th.
Lori Cate fired a 78-80-82--240 to tie for the 44th spot overall in the tournament.
Brooke Hixon rounded out the scoring for Ole Miss as she fired an 83-83-79-245 to finish tied for 56th.
Kerrie Davis also finished tied for 56th with a score of 79-80-86-245. Davis' score did not count toward Ole Miss' total as she was competing as an individual for the event.
The Lady Rebels will return to action at the SEC Championships April 19-22. The tournament will be hosted at the University of Georgia.
