OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Athletic Ticket Office announced Tuesday that under 10,000 season tickets remain for the 2002 Rebel football season. Ole Miss' schedule includes seven home contests at the expanded Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field.

"With the expansion of the stadium, excitement for football is at an all-time high this year, and it is showing in the ticket sales," said Sans Russell, Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations. "We now have over 60,000 seats, and our fans have responded by purchasing tickets in record numbers, leaving us with a limited number of season packages."

The Rebels have seven home contests, including Southeastern Conference encounters with Vanderbilt (Sept. 21), Florida (Oct. 5), Auburn (Nov. 2) and Mississippi State (Nov. 28). Ole Miss' three non-conference home games are Louisiana-Monroe (Aug. 31), Memphis (Sept. 7) and Arkansas State (Oct. 12).

Season ticket packages (all seven games) are available for sideline seats at $210 each, south end zone seats at $140 each, and north end zone seats at $105 each. Fans can purchase season tickets by contacting the Ole Miss Athletic Ticket Office at 888-732-8587 or 662-915-7167 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT) or by placing orders via the internet at bruiser.olemiss.edu/ato. Mail orders should be sent to the Athletic Ticket Office, PO Box 247, University, MS 38677. A $5 shipping fee should be included with each order. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

Two Rebel contests already have been selected for television. The Sept. 14 Ole Miss-Texas Tech game will be televised by ABC at 2:30 p.m. (CT). For the fifth-straight year, ESPN will broadcast the Nov. 28 Ole Miss-Mississippi State "Egg Bowl" clash from Oxford.

Ole Miss' 2002 season begins Aug. 31 when the Rebels host Louisiana-Monroe at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
