OXFORD, Miss. - Rebel fans looking for tickets to home games against Florida and Auburn will need to buy season tickets, according to the Ole Miss ticket office.

Tickets for those two matchups in Oxford are only available through one of three season ticket packages. Sideline tickets can be purchased for $210, seats in the newly-renovated South Endzone are $140 and North Endzone tickets are $105.

For ticket orders, fans can call (662) 915-7617 or (888) 732-8587 (in state). Season ticket sales for the upcoming 2002 football season have already exceeded the 43,000 mark.

Meanwhile, the Rebels went through their first day of practice in full pads Monday. After taking Sunday off from two-a-days, head coach David Cutcliffe's squad saw its first heavy physical contact of preseason workouts.

"I thought their was a lot of positive work," Cutcliffe said. "We had a lot of physical play. I think we're going to see things on tape on both sides that we like and things we need to improve."

In the morning practice, the Rebels worked on general offensive and defensive schemes as well as individual skills and conditioning, including one-on-one hitting drills.

"(Hitting drills) are a great way to get the tempo started," Cutcliffe said. "It's one-on-one, so you can't run and hide. It's basically straight football, and it's always going to be part of the game. It's fun for the players and coaches, and a good way to get things kicked off."

Ole Miss continues two-a-day practices leading up to Meet the Rebels Day, Aug. 17 in The Grove.
