Ole Miss Football TV Show Begins Sunday

OXFORD, Miss. - "Ole Miss Football With David Cutcliffe," the award-winning coach's television show, kicks off another season this week-end with a special preseason edition as the Rebels prepare for the August 31 opener at home against Louisiana-Monroe.

"Ole Miss Football With David Cutcliffe" captures all the action and pageantry of Rebel football in a fast-paced, 30-minute program. The Ole Miss football coach's show has won the International Telly Award and the Mississippi Broadcasters Association Gold Award for excellence in broadcasting several times in the past decade.

The high-quality television show replays taped highlights, features informative University and player profiles about Ole Miss and its football program, and includes interesting strategic analysis from Coach Cutcliffe.

David Kellum, the "Voice of the Rebels," is in his 14th season as host of the show. The show is a production of TeleSouth Broadcasting and the University of Mississippi Athletic Association. Once again serving as producer of the show is J. Stern, while other key personnel include videographer/reporter Raphael Henry, production assistant Dave Hotard, on-line editor Keith Kimmons, and reporter Britt Albertson.

While Kellum and Cutcliffe zero in on Louisiana-Monroe, the preseason show will also include features on the Rebels' strength and conditioning program, the highly successful women's football forum, and the annual men's football fantasy camp. Another highlight will be conversations with the two newest assistant coaches, defensive coordinator Chuck Driesbach and tight ends coach Matt Luke.

"Ole Miss Football With David Cutcliffe" airs weekly during the season on selected over-the-air commercial stations as well as cable outlets. No shows are scheduled the two open dates (Sept. 28 and Nov. 16). The only affiliate not showing this week's preseason edition is Fox SportsNet South, which joins the list on Sept. 1.
