OXFORD, Miss. - Friday's opening day game between Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech was suspended until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday following a heavy downpour of rain in the top of the third inning. The game will resume on Saturday, with the second game of the three-game series being played 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.

The Rebels trailed the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech 2-0 heading into the top of the third inning. Ben Tabor and Jeremy Alford scored for the Bulldogs off a two-run single by Wade Robinson off Ole Miss' Alan Horne.

Ole Miss sent three batters to the plate in the bottom of the second, but Adam Kirkendall sat all three down before the officials suspended the game.
