OXFORD, Miss. - Due to winter weather and difficult traveling conditions, Ole Miss' softball series at Evansville scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled. It has yet to be determined if the three-game set with the Indiana-based school will be rescheduled for later in the season.

Poor weather also spoiled Ole Miss' home tournament - the Rebel/Easton Invitational - last weekend in Oxford, raining out all but six games on the original 17-game docket. The Rebels dropped a pair of Sunday games to Nicholls State, 1-0, and Jacksonville State, 6-1, to move to 3-5 on the young season.

Ole Miss now takes a week off before returning to action Feb. 28-Mar. 2 at the Holiday Inn-Select Tulsa Festival in Tulsa, Okla. The Rebels will be facing off with Colorado State, UIC, Central Connecticut, Drake and tournament host Tulsa at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.
