OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe was hoping to kick off spring football drills here Friday afternoon, but heavy rain in the area and soggy field conditions forced a delay.

"We hope to begin on Saturday, but it may be Sunday afternoon before the weather conditions give us a break," said Cutcliffe, who is beginning his fifth full season at the helm of the Ole Miss football program.

Ole Miss will have 15 days of spring drills, including 12 in pads. The annual Red-Blue spring game is set for Saturday, March 29, at 5:30 p.m. in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
