OXFORD, Miss. - DeDe Justice collected three hits on the day in helping Ole Miss split a pair of softball games during Saturday's session of the Ole Miss Snowfall Classic. The Rebels battled past Northern Illinois, 4-3, and fell to Drake, 6-0.

Ole Miss (5-6) faces off with Evansville Sunday at a newly-scheduled time of 1:30 p.m. CST in the tournament's final matchup.

In Saturday's early game, the Rebels picked up their second victory of the weekend, using a four-run third inning to get past NIU. The first five UM batters reached base in the frame.

Justice, a sophomore from Vero Beach, Fla., tripled home the first run, and a Rebecca McIntire sacrifice fly plated another. Freshman Jordan Chitwood followed with a two-run single that served as the eventual game-winner.

Down 4-0, Northern Illinois (6-3) rallied with a run in the fifth, using a Rebel fielding error, and two more in the sixth, off a Paige Shemoski home run, but the Huskies could get no closer.

Ole Miss righthander Lindsay Price (2-3) registered her team-high fourth complete game of the season in the win. The senior from Terry, Miss., scattered seven hits and two earned runs while totaling six strikeouts. Paige Granath took the loss for NIU.

Justice and Desiree Layman each finished 2-for-3. Junior leftfielder Britte Hardy singled in the first inning but suffered a dislocated left thumb sliding at second base. She is doubtful for Sunday.

In the late game, Drake (10-4) tallied five runs in the third inning en route to the win. Brooke Buchanan's two-run double keyed the barrage for the Bulldogs, who collected 11 hits in the game.

DU hurler Katie Shimon surrendered only one hit - a Justice single - in the shutout. Rebel freshman Dana Brill went the distance in the loss.

Including an 8-0 whipping of Central Connecticut on Friday, the Rebels boast a 2-1 weekend mark and are tied atop the tournament standings, along with Drake, Evansville and Northern Illinois. UT-Martin is 1-2 in the event, while CCSU is 0-3. Sunday's action begins at 9 a.m. at Ole Miss Softball Complex.
