TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Ole Miss turned in solid second and third rounds of play, but a slow start in the first round was too much for the Rebels to overcome, as Ole Miss finished No. 12 at the Seminole Intercollegiate with a score of 300-295-294-889.
Junior Jordan Dempsey led the way for Ole Miss along with junior Lucas Boyd, as both tied for the No. 43 spot in the overall standings. Dempsey carded a score of 75-77-71-223, while Boyd fired a 73-74-76-223.
Freshman Jonathan Lenz finished the event a stroke behind his teammates, tying for the No. 49 spot in the standings with a score of 75-76-73-224. Junior Pope Spruiell hit par in the second round, but the first and third rounds proved to be a struggle, as he finished tied for the No. 52 spot with a score of 77-72-76-225.
Sophomore Jarrod Gardner rounded out the scoring for the Ole Miss squad, finishing tied for the No. 59 spot overall with a score of 79-73-74-226.
Ole Miss will return to the links again over the weekend when the team will compete at the Conrad Rehling Spring Invitational at the University of Alabama. The tournament will be played March 14-17.
