LEXINGTON, Ky. - On a windy final day that saw gusts of more than 30 miles per hour, the Ole Miss women's golf team was unable to figure out the challenges presented by the Big Blue Course at the University of Kentucky Golf Club, finishing 11th in the standings at the SEC Championships with a three-day score of 319-322-341-982.

Auburn managed to sneak past Florida and Tennessee on the final day of play to claim the overall title with a score of 299-297-307-903. Florida's Aimee Cho claimed individual medallist honors finishing with an even par score of 72-73-71-216.

"We just didn't play well and beat ourselves," said head coach Meghan Bolger of the event. "We shot ourselves out of the tournament this weekend. Overall we had a good year and now we'll just sit back and wait to see about selection for the NCAA Regionals."

Nikki Hadd led the way for Ole Miss at the three-day event, carding a score of 78-76-84-238. The score put Hadd in sole possession of 31st-place in the overall standings and marked the highest finish for Hadd in the SEC Championships in her two-year career.

Bernadette Luse finished right behind Hadd in the standings, tying for the No. 33 position with a score of 75-79-86-240. Luse led the squad on the first two days, but struggled in the final round before finishing at the 33rd position.

Senior Kerrie Davis carded a three-day total of 83-82-84-249 to tie for 49th-place in the standings.

The freshman duo of Laura Evans and Sarah Kate Cousart rounded out the scoring for the Ole Miss squad. Evans finished the three-day event in a tie for the No 54 spot with a score of 83-85-87-255, while Cousart finished the weekend in 59th-place with a score of 84-87-89-260.

The Lady Rebels will return home and await the decision of the NCAA Championships Selection Committee to determine if Ole Miss will continue its season in the NCAA Championships.
