Cotton Bowl Trophies To Be Presented At Halftime Saturday

OXFORD, Miss. - Representatives from the SBC Cotton Bowl Classic will be on hand here Saturday to present the 2004 championship trophy to Ole Miss and head football coach David Cutcliffe. The presentation will take place during halftime ceremonies of the Ole Miss-South Carolina basketball game, which is set for 12-noon at Tad Smith Coliseum.

Ole Miss, co-champions of the Southeastern Conference Western Division, capped off a 10-3 season on January 2 with a 31-28 victory over Oklahoma State in the 68th Cotton Bowl Classic in Dallas, Texas.

Representing the SBC Cotton Bowl will be Chairman Fin Ewing III, President Rick Baker, Team Selection Chairman Dan Petty, Ole Miss Team Host Tommy Bain, Vice President of Communications Charlie Fiss, and Board of Directors Member J. Larry Cantrell.

Also to be presented Saturday will be the Outstanding Offensive Player Award and the Outstanding Defensive Player Award. Senior quarterback Eli Manning won the offensive award and senior defensive lineman Josh Cooper won the defensive award.

Rebel Sports Marketing will also be in Tad Smith Coliseum selling SBC Cotton Bowl Championship shirts and pennants.

Prior to Saturday's basketball game, members of the Ole Miss baseball team and coaches will be in Tad Smith Coliseum signing schedule posters for fans.
