Lady Rebels Open SEC Play Against Florida

Ole Miss, in search of their fourth home win of the season, will open Southeastern Conference play against the Florida Gators on Thursday, Jan. 8. Game time is set for 8 p.m. in Tad Smith Coliseum. The game will be televised live on the Sunshine Network.

The Lady Rebels are 9-5 to start the year under first-year head coach Carol Ross. Ole Miss will closed the non-conference portion of their schedule 9-5 after routing UAPB, 112-43, on Monday.

Florida enters Thursday's contest with a 10-3 record after defeating Temple, 62-49, on Jan. 2. The Gators are 6-2 in road games and will be opening the SEC portion of the schedule on Thursday.

UF head coach Carolyn Peck owns a 19-22 record in her second season with the Gators. Peck, who won a national title at Purdue in 1999, is 76-33 in her fourth season overall.
