OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss head football coach David Cutcliffe announced Thursday that sophomore defensive back Danny Bell has been dismissed from the Rebel football team.

"Due to disciplinary reasons, Danny Bell is no longer a member of our football program," Cutcliffe said.

Bell, a 6-2, 205 pound strong safety from Jacksonville, Fla., had not seen any action this season. As a true freshman in 2003, Bell played in 10 of 13 games and was credited with six tackles as he earned his first letter.

Ole Miss is open this week and will return to Southeastern Conference play Nov. 13 when the Rebels take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville. The contest is set for 11:30 a.m. and will be televised by Jefferson-Pilot Sports.
