Ole Miss Women's Basketball Game Notes

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss is looking to pick up their second road win of the season when they travel to Lubbock, Texas to take on the #13/13 Texas Tech Lady Raiders on Sunday, Dec. 12. Game time is slated for 1 p.m., at United Spirit Arena.

The Lady Rebels are 4-2 under the direction of second-year head coach Carol Ross. Ross, who played at Ole Miss from 1979-82, earned SEC Co-Coach of the Year honors in 2004 after guiding Ole Miss back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in eight seasons.

The Lady Rebels have had a week off from action and have been finishing up the fall semester in the class room with final exams. Prior to finals week, Ole Miss collected home wins over New Orleans (100-50) and Illinois-Chicago (87-59).

#13/13 Texas Tech enters Sunday's game with a 4-1 record. Their lone loss came at the hands of #2/2 Stanford. The Lady Raiders have picked up wins over Rice, Arkansas-Little Rock, Miami (Fla.) and Oral Roberts.

Sophomore Alesha Robertson leads TTU in points with 18.0 per game, while senior Cisti Greenwalt leads the Lady Raiders in rebounds with 11.0 per game. Greenwalt also averages 15. 4 points and nearly 5.0 blocks per game. Junior Erin Grant averages a team-leading 6.2 assists and 2.8 steals per contest.

Texas Tech head coach Marsha Sharpe is 537-168 in her 23rd season with the Lady Raiders. Her overall coaching mark is the same.
