OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Todd Abernethy scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half, and balanced Mississippi routed Nicholls State 87-55 on Monday night.
Kendrick Fox had 12 points, Bam Doyne had 11 and Londrick Nolen added 10 for Ole Miss (4-4), which led 45-24 at halftime and was never seriously threatened.
Ole Miss shot a season-best 63 percent (34-of-54) from the field - including 72 percent (18-for-25) in the first half.
Willie Depron had 15 points for Nicholls State (1-5), which has lost all three of its games against Southeastern Conference teams by an average of nearly 25 points.
All 14 Ole Miss players scored, and the Rebels opened the second half with five consecutive 3-pointers in claiming their second straight win.
The Ole Miss lead maxxed out at 76-42 with 6:42 to play.
Nicholls State finished 19-of-49 from the field, including 6-of-20 from 3-point range. The Rebels outrebounded Nicholls State 34-20 and forced 19 turnovers.
