Monday's Beau Chene Classic Canceled

MANDEVILLE, La. - The 2004 Southeastern Louisiana Beau Chene Collegiate Classic was canceled Monday morning due to inclement weather and unplayable course conditions. It was just the second cancellation in the 15-year history of the event.

The Ole Miss men were scheduled to hit the links along with Campbell, Drake, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, Memphis, Nicholls State, Sam Houston State, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, Troy State and the host Lions.

The Rebels are idle until March 1-2 when they compete at the Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee, Fla.
