OXFORD, Miss. - Mary Nell Bennett and Megan McCune were honored for their efforts in the classroom recently, when the Southeastern Conference named both players to the 2003 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

"We're very proud of Mary Nell Bennett and Megan McCune for receiving this honor," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin. "Both of these young ladies have worked hard to achieve success in their academic lives while also working hard to help the team achieve success on the court."

Bennett, a native of Louisville, Ky., posted a 3.84 GPA in Marketing. A junior on the squad in 2003, Bennett started 21-of-31 matches for the Lady Rebels, coming up with 226 digs for the season, the fourth best on the team.
