Hadd Leads The Way In Day One Of Waterlefe Invite

BRADENTON, Fla. - Junior Nikki Hadd fired a round of 70 (-2) Monday morning as the Ole Miss women's golf team posted a team score of 306 for the first 18 holes at the Waterlefe/USF Invitational. The Lady Rebels are tied with East Carolina and Louisville for second place heading into Monday afternoon's second round. The University of Miami leads the pack by 15 strokes after posting a three-under-par -- 291 -- for the opening round.

Hadd sits in sole possession of first place after round one, while freshman Adrienne White is in a three-way tie for seventh after recording a 74. Junior Jade Polonich is tied for 28th overall after turning in a 78. Sophomore Laura Evans shot an 84 Monday morning, while sophomore Sarah Kate Cousart posted an 85.

Round two of the tournament is slated for Monday afternoon, while round three is scheduled to take place Tuesday morning.
