OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's golf team has added a tournament to its 2004 spring schedule, according to head coach Woody Cowart. The Rebels have accepted a late invitation to the March 29-30 Arkansas-Little Rock Lindsey Collegiate as a result of being rained out of the Feb. 23-24 Beau Chene Collegiate Classic in Mandeville, La.
Ole Miss will be joined by the host Trojans, Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, Samford, Stephen F. Austin, Texas-Pan American, Texas-San Antonio and Troy State in the 14-team field.
The 54-hole affair, which will be played at the Eagle Hill Golf Club in Little Rock, Ark., will include two rounds Monday (March 29) and one round Tuesday (March 30).
Following the Lindsey Collegiate, the Rebels will wrap up their regular season schedule with the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate April 9-11 in Opelika, Ala., and the Southeastern Conference Championships April 16-18 in Sea Island, Ga.
The NCAA Regionals are slated for May 20-22 while the NCAA Championships are set for June 1-4.
