MEMPHIS, Tenn. - No. 11 (Baseball America) Ole Miss pounded out 18 hits and four pitchers combined to post the Rebels' fourth straight shutout in a 19-0 win over Memphis Wednesday evening, in front of 3,822 at AutoZone Park, the home of the AAA Memphis Redbirds.

Ole Miss is now 15-1 on the season to mark the school's best-ever start after 16 games. Memphis dropped to 10-4 on the year.

Sophomore LHP Eric Fowler (2-0) worked five scoreless innings for the win, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out five. Senior RHP Jeremy Zick worked two innings in relief, while sophomore RHP Anthony Cupps and sophomore LHP Taylor Fowler worked one inning apiece.

The Ole Miss pitching staff has now worked a school-record 39 consecutive scoreless innings, dating back to the seventh inning of last Wednesday's game with Arkansas State.

Junior second baseman Cooper Osteen went 4-for-6 with three RBIs and Matt Tolbert finished 3-for-5 with an RBI. Left fielder Mark Wright finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Charlie Babineaux hit his third home run of the year with a three-run shot in the ninth to make it 19-0.

A total of 12 different Rebels recorded at least one hit on the night.

Senior RHP Nick Bradshaw (0-1) was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs, five earned, on five hits and three walks in 3.0 innings.

Michael Lewis went 2-for-3 to lead Memphis at the plate.

Ole Miss opens its Southeastern Conference slate Friday when Vanderbilt visits Oxford for the first of three games in a weekend series. Friday's game will begin at 6:30 p.m., while the Saturday and Sunday contests will begin at 1:30 p.m.
