OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss freshman outfielder Alex Presley was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week after hitting two game-winning home runs to help Ole Miss to a three-game sweep of Tennessee this past weekend in Oxford, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. Kentucky sophomore RHP Kalen Gibson was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week.

Presley, a 5-feet-11, 180-pound native of Monroe, La., hit ta two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th to lift Ole Miss to a 4-2 win in Friday's series opener. In Saturday's game two, after Tennessee took a 3-2 lead in the eighth, Presley hit another two-run homer in the bottom of the inning to propel the Rebels to a 4-3 victory.

"This is a tremendous honor for Alex," said Ole Miss Head Coach Mike Bianco. "Alex really came through for us this weekend, hitting a home run to win the game on Friday and then coming back to do the same thing on Saturday. Alex is having a very fine season for a true freshman in the SEC."

Presley then went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Sunday's 7-4 win to complete the sweep and finished the series 4-for-9 with two HRs, five RBIs and two runs scored.

For the season, Presley is hitting .303 with four HRs and 25 RBIs. He also has six doubles, four triples and has scored 24 runs.

Ole Miss is 31-6 on the season and currently leads the SEC Western Division and the overall SEC standings with an 11-4 conference mark. The Rebels will host Southern Miss Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m., before traveling to Arkansas State on Wednesday and then opening a three-game SEC series at Georgia Friday evening.
