Ole Miss Announces 2005 Football Schedule

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Rebels will play six home football games in 2005, it was announced here Thursday by Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone.
Home games are set with Wyoming, The Citadel, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, and LSU. Road trips will be to Memphis, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn, and Mississippi State.
The Citadel replaces Arkansas State on the 2005 slate, while SEC foe Kentucky replaces South Carolina as a league opponent.
It will mark the first time for Ole Miss and 1-AA The Citadel to meet in football. The Citadel has played a number of 1-A opponents in recent years, including Florida, Vanderbilt, and LSU of the Southeastern Conference. Auburn is on the 2004 schedule. Miami, Air Force, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Wyoming, and Maryland are other past 1-A opponents for The Citadel, and Duke is on the 2004 slate.
