Ole Miss Baseball Dismisses Pitcher Brae Wright From Squad

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss Head Coach Mike Bianco announced Wednesday that sophomore left-handed pitcher Brae Wright has been dismissed from the team for violation of team rules.

Wright made 10 starts for the Rebels this season, going 6-2 with a 2.81 ERA. He had also struck out 49 while walking 13 in 67.1 innings. For his career, Wright was 10-6 with one save and a 3.15 ERA in 29 appearances, including 19 starts.

Ole Miss is 38-15 on the season, including 17-10 in the SEC. The Rebels, ranked No. 9 in this week's Baseball America Top 25, are tied for first in the SEC Western Division with Arkansas and tied for the overall conference lead with both the Razorbacks and Georgia. Ole Miss will conclude the regular season with a three-game SEC series against LSU, starting Friday night at 6:30 p.m., at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field. Saturday's game is scheduled for 3 p.m., and will be televised by FOX Sports Net South. Sunday's series finale is set for 1:30 p.m.
