OXFORD, Miss. - The Grove on the Ole Miss campus will come alive here Saturday afternoon with the annual "Meet the Rebels Day" activities set from 1:00 to 3:30. This year's event, which is being sponsored by Whirlpool, features members of the 2004 Ole Miss football squad and gives Rebel fans an opportunity to make photos and receive autographs. "This is always an exciting event for our football program," said Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe. "It comes at a time when we are all looking forward to the beginning of the football season. Our fans have been so supportive in the past, both at this event and in the stadium on game day." Although the event doesn't officially begin until 1:00 p.m., there will be a Loyalty Foundation program on The Grove stage, beginning at 12:15. The program will feature Chancellor Robert Khayat, Athletics Director Pete Boone, and head coaches David Cutcliffe, Carol Ross, Rod Barnes, and Mike Bianco. Members of the Ole Miss women's volleyball team will also be participating in "Meet the Rebels Day" and available for photos and autographs. Rebel Sports Marketing will once again be providing senior posters for fans. In case of inclement weather, "Meet the Rebels" will be moved underneath the east side stands at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field.
