OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss went through about an hour walk-through at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field Friday afternoon, as the Rebels continue to gear-up for the 2004 season opener against Memphis on Saturday, September 4.

The offense and defense worked on different formations and coverages, while continuing to implement the game plan for the season opener with the Tigers.

Sixth-year head coach David Cutcliffe decided on Thursday night to hold the walk-through instead of working out in full gear.

"I decided (Thursday) night to hold the walk through," Cutcliffe said. "We'll have another walk through on Saturday. I felt it was best to get our legs back underneath us before we enter game week on Monday."

The practice was held under a somber atmosphere on the Ole Miss campus after a fire broke out at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house early Friday morning. Three students lost their lives in the blaze.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims and to all who were involved in the fire," Cutcliffe said. "We're are all very saddened by what happened here earlier today."

Kickoff of the September 4 season opener against Memphis is scheduled for 6 p.m., at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field.
