OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss football team went through its sixth practice of the spring season on Wednesday afternoon. The Rebels worked out in full pads for the third time of the spring and used the Indoor Practice Facility due to the wet conditions of the outdoor practice fields.

"It was a lot better today," said Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron. "The guys competed and gave us what we expect of them." We are going to hold a half practice on Friday. Start at 11 and scrimmage at noon.

The Rebels practiced for nearly three hours and worked on individual position skills for the first few periods of practice. The team broke up into small groups for some drills and midway through practice, the Rebels worked on 6-on-6 passing skills. The team came together to working on the kicking game for a period, before finishing practice with some 11-on-11 work.

Ole Miss will return to the practice field for another spring session on Friday. The Rebels will spend the first half of the session practicing on position drills, with the second half of the session designated for scrimmage work.

After Friday's practice session, Ole Miss will take the weekend off for the Easter holiday, before resuming spring practice. They will have eight practice sessions remaining upon returning from their weekend break, including the annual Red-Blue Grove Bowl scheduled for Saturday, April 9.
