GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Ole Miss (21-13, 3-5 SEC) couldn't find a cure for what ailed them on Friday, as the Rebels dropped both games of a double header on the road against No. 14 Florida (26-6, 5-0 SEC). Florida took the first game 5-1 before grabbing the second game 12-0 by run rule in the night cap.

Ole Miss and Florida will play a single game at noon on Saturday as the Rebels try to salvage a game from the series.

Dana Brill (6-6) suffered the loss for the Rebels in the second game of the day as she allowed eight runs in the first two innings as the Gator bats came to life.

Mandy Schuerman (8-1) took the win in the second game as she struck out three and walked none in the game. Schuerman allowed only one hit on the night.

Lindsey Cameron put the Gators up in the first inning as she singled to left field to score Lauren Roussell from third. The Gators then loaded the bases with no outs from there as the next batter walked. Florida then added three more runs as the Rebels got a force at home on the next batter, but a throwing error from home to first in an attempt to turn a double play sailed into right field and two Gators scored and Florida's Zick advanced to third from first. She then scored on a wild pitch to put Florida up 4-0 after the first inning.

Florida added seven runs in the second inning on more Rebel errors and a two-run home run to push the lead to 11-0 after two innings.

The Gators then added another run in the fourth inning with a fielder's choice from Lacey Howard with two outs and the bases loaded. The Rebels got out of the inning on a grounder to third from Cameron.

Callahan (9-6) suffered her second straight loss in the first game against Florida. Callahan struck out three and walked two as she gave up two earned runs on seven hits. Florida scored five runs in the game, three on errors.

Shelley Stevens (13-4) picked up the win in the first game as she struck out five and walked four. She allowed one run on five hits as Brooke Turner scored on a wild pitch.

Florida got off to an early advantage in the first game, loading the bases with one out on an error, a single and a walk. The Gators scored the first run as Callahan then walked the next batter to push Shelley Stevens across the plate. The Rebels got out of the inning with a fielder's choice as Rowe threw out Florida's Cameron at home and Norfleet struck out.

The Gators got the second run of the game in the second inning when Pestrak scored on a fielding error at third by the shortstop in an attempt to catch her in a rundown on a fielder's choice bunt from Roussell. Florida added the third run of the game on a single through the left side that scored Roussell from second.

Ole Miss got runners to first and second with two outs in the third inning as Turner reached on a walk and Warner notched a single down the left field line. The Rebels couldn't get a run across as Savana Kelly made a leaping catch on a line drive from Callahan to record the final out of the inning.

Florida added two more runs in the fourth inning when Cameron homered to centerfield to score Roussell from second and put the Gators up 5-0.

The Rebels got on the board in the sixth when Brooke Turner drew a walk to lead off the inning and moved to second on a wild pitch.
