JACKSON, Miss. - Deuce McAllister, former Ole Miss running back and two-time All-Pro with the New Orleans Saints, will host a fund-raiser for his Catch 22 Foundation here Friday, April 29th, at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum , located at 1152 Lakeland Drive. The Catch 22 Foundation believes that all children, regardless of economic or social background, should be empowered to succeed in arts, education and athletics.
"Cuttin' Loose with Deuce" will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m., with a media press conference at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $75.00 each or two tickets for $100.00. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult (only one child per paid adult). Tickets can be purchased at Bebop, Brookshires on Adkins Road or by calling 601-949-7165.
This exciting event will feature local restaurants serving delicious cocktail-style food, drinks, and interaction with Deuce and several of his New Orleans Saints teammates. There will also be a live and a silent auction. Because this is a fundraising event only, there will be no cameras allowed.
"I am really excited about this year's charity weekend," said Deuce. "Last year's event at the Sports Hall of Fame was so much fun. I enjoyed spending time with members of the Jackson community. My teammates that joined me also had a great time and support the mission of the Catch 22 Foundation. For every guest that buys a ticket, a pre-selected, underprivileged child will be able to attend our football clinic on Saturday. We hope everyone will come out and support our Catch 22 Foundation efforts."
