OXFORD, Miss. - For the third straight time Ole Miss and Tennessee-Martin have tried to meet on the softball diamond and for the third-straight time fate had other plans as the doubleheader scheduled for Thursday was once again postponed due to inclement weather.

Thunderstorms in the Martin, Tenn., area forced the postponement of the games.

The Rebels and the Skyhawks were originally scheduled to play earlier in the month, but inclement weather forced the rescheduling of the games. Last season, the two teams were set to face-off when a team illness struck the Rebel squad and forced the cancellation of the series.

Ole Miss will return to action this weekend when the Rebels host the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers in a three-game set at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. It is senior weekend as the Rebels will be playing their final home series of the season.

Game time is set for 3 p.m. for Saturday's doubleheader and the final game will be played at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free to the public.
