OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss football team worked hard for nearly three hours on Wednesday, as they took part in their 13th practice session of the spring season. Due to inclement weather, the practice session was moved to the Indoor Practice Facility, but the damp conditions outside did not slow down the work on the field.

"We had a great practice today," said Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron. "I think we are right where we need to be after seeing us work extremely hard."

The Rebels opened practice with some individual skill work, before spending the majority of the session working on different situational scrimmaging. The Rebels closed out Wednesday's practice with work on the two-minute drill, something Orgeron came away very pleased with.

"I think our coaches did a great job of planning the two-minute drill," said Orgeron. "I thought the offense did an excellent job. They moved the ball well under pressure."

Orgeron has been pleased overall with the Rebels' work this spring season and is excited with how the team has progressed in their first spring under the new coaching staff.

"I am really proud of our football and our coaches and the way they have practiced," said Orgeron. "We have to finish up strong, but for now I am very satisfied.

"We got all of our offense and defense in place. The players have handled the load very well. For a first-year team, we are on an accelerated pace. The players have learned how to compete the way we want them to and we are just looking forward to wrapping it all up with the Red-Blue Game"

The annual Red-Blue Grove Bowl will be played at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 9.
