OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's tennis players Chloe Carlotti and Virginia Tomatis were among 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams selected to compete in the NCAA Women's Individual Championships. The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 23-28 in Athens, Ga., following the conclusion of the team championship (19-22).

Carlotti, a two-time All-American, is making her fourth appearance in the NCAA Singles Championship. She qualified her first two years while at Fresno State and then made it again last year in her first season with Ole Miss. Ranked No. 38 in the nation, Carlotti finished the regular season with a 15-7 record at No. 1 singles.

Tomatis will be making her second NCAA appearance as she and Carlotti compete in the doubles championship. The pair earned All-SEC second team honors for the second year in a row after going 8-3 in the league at No. 1 doubles. They are currently ranked No. 23 with a 17-5 record at the top spot.

Carlotti and Tomatis helped the Lady Rebels to their first ever SEC Western Division Championship and a berth in the NCAA Team Championships for the first time since the 2002 season.

"To make the NCAAs is a great honor for Chloe and Vicki," head coach Mark Beyers said. "There are so many great players in college tennis, so it is an accomplishment for them to be among such an elite group. They worked hard all year and were very instrumental in our winning the SEC West and making it back to the NCAA Championships."

Ole Miss (13-9) will face Cal-Berkeley in the first round Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. If they win that match, they would face the winner of the Miami/Florida Atlantic match Saturday, May 14 at 1 p.m. The regional champion advances to Athens, Ga., for the "Sweet Sixteen" May 19-22.
