OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's tennis player Chloe Carlotti earned her third All-America honor and ended the season ranked No. 31 in the nation as the ITA announced the All-America teams and the final national singles and doubles rankings.
Carlotti is one of seven players on the 2005 team to earn the honor for the third time in their careers. Carlotti became the seventh Ole Miss women's tennis All-American, and the second under head coach Mark Beyers.
A two-time All-SEC honoree, Carlotti finished her career at Ole Miss by becoming a multiple-school All-American. She earned All-America honors twice at Fresno State before transferring to Ole Miss. According to ITA records, only a handful of players have ever earned All-America honors at more than one school.
In the final singles rankings, Carlotti finished ranked No. 31 with a 24-13 overall record. She fell one match shy of reaching 100 wins for her career, finishing at 99-45.
Carlotti captained Ole Miss to its first ever SEC Western Division Championship with the most conference wins (five) since 2000. The Lady Rebels made it back to the NCAA Team Championships for the first time since 2002 and ended the year ranked No. 37.
Freshman Nika Koukhartchouk ended her first campaign ranked No. 88 in singles with a 21-12 overall record, 14-7 in dual matches. Koukhartchouk posted an 8-3 record in the nation's toughest conference at Nos. 2 and 3 singles to help the Lady Rebels capture the SEC West title.
In doubles, the All-SEC duo of Carlotti and rising senior Virginia Tomatis finished ranked No. 28 with a 23-8 overall record, 17-5 at No. 1 doubles.
