OXFORD, Miss. - Ed Orgeron, head football coach at the University of Mississippi, headlines the Lee County Ole Miss Club meeting July 26 in Tupelo.
The club meets at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Craig, 1616 Pecan Grove. A social hour begins at 6:30 p.m., with the program following at 7:15. Tickets are $50 per person in advance, $55 at the door. Attire is casual. Proceeds benefit the Lee County Ole Miss Club Scholarship Endowment, which helps fund a Lee County student's cost to attend the university.
The meeting, which includes a menu prepared and presented by David Leathers of Food Stylin', also features a silent auction with items from local merchants as well as signed Ole Miss memorabilia.
Orgeron, who took the reins of the Ole Miss football program after serving the previous seven seasons as defensive line coach at the University of Southern California, played a key role in Pete Carroll's Trojans winning national championships in 2003 and 2004. He joined the USC staff in January 1998, took on the added responsibility of recruiting coordinator in 2001 and was named assistant head coach in 2003.
