OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss Rebel football team completed its first day of two-a-day practices of the fall, on a mild Friday afternoon.
Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron was excited with how his players responded in the afternoon session.
"The whole team came out and answered the bell today," Orgeron said. "I am very excited with the way the team practiced this afternoon. We had help with the weather, but our guys battled today."
Orgeron was especially pleased with the effort from the offensive line.
"We had some players switching around today because of injuries this morning," Orgeron said. "The coaches did a great job preparing the players for this afternoon and the guys competed hard."
Friday was the Rebels' last practice in preparation for Saturday's scrimmage.
"We are going to evaluate the players' execution," Orgeron said. "We are going to run a situational scrimmage."
The Rebels will scrimmage inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday, at 2:45 p.m.
