Rebels Set For Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The Ole Miss men's golf team travels to Franklin, Tenn., this weekend for the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate hosted at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The three-round tournament is slated to begin on Friday, September 30 on the 7,200-yard par-72 course.
The Rebels will be joined in the tournament by host Vanderbilt, as well as, Baylor, Belmont, College of Charleston, Furman, Kansas, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee, Rice, SMU and Virginia.
Ole Miss, fresh of its Magnolia Cup victory of Mississippi State last weekend, will be led by freshman Jamie Howarth (Stockport, England). Howarth was the top individual finisher at the Magnolia Cup with his 5-under-par 67. He will be joined by senior Derek Abel (Frisco, Texas), and juniors Kyle Ellis (Senatobia, Miss.), Callum Macaulay (Kincardine, Scotland) and Chris Rogers (Franklin, Tenn.).
"I am really looking forward to getting back into competition," said Ole Miss head coach Ernest Ross. "We had a big win in our last tournament and I am feeling good about our team. We know we have a tough challenge in front of us, but our team is working hard to have a good showing."
The tournament will begin on Friday, with 18 holes and the 12 teams will also play 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday.
At the conclusion of the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate, Ole Miss will take a weekend off before traveling to Ruston, La., for the Squire Creek Intercollegiate on Oct. 17-18.
