Day One Of Squire Creek Intercollegiate Rained Out

RUSTON, La. The Ole Miss men’s golf team will have to wait another day to begin defense of its tournament title at the Squire Creek Intercollegiate, as the first two rounds have been rained out. 

 

Tournament and course officials are hoping to play at least 18 holes of competition on Tuesday. The field will try to get underway around mid-morning on Tuesday, depending on when the course will be ready for play after torrential rains on Monday.

 

The Rebels won last year’s event, shooting a 9-under-par 855.  Senior Chris Rogers tied for first with a 211.
